About Me

Serving my immediate community in Seattle First Hill neighborhood, with a focus on serving fellow members of the trans community, I bring into my birthing doula work both my lived experience as a transgender person, and experience from my other work as a tattoo artist. I see both these parts of my life as foundational to my approach to doula work. All aspects of my life and work honor the human body’s resilience and ability to heal, our ability to transform both physically and mentally, and the ways that our changing bodies change our realities. From my tattooing work I bring my Bloodborn Pathogen Safety Certification, experience with PPE and medical safety, and a passion for guiding people through physically transformative and uncomfortable moments.

I became a doula because I feel very strongly that birth is not only a medical process, but a deeply emotional and transformative one. I believe labor and birth are experiences which deserves not only medical care, but also emotional care and human connection. You deserve to feel heard, seen, and cared for, as well as fully autonomous and powerful throughout your pregnancy and labor.

I believe everyone can benefit from a doula. I look forward to the chance to help you through the incredible experience of pregnancy and childbirth, and aid you in your entrance into a new chapter of life. I’m based out of Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood and serve clients in the immediate area.

As a Seattle born and raised local, it’s my honor to serve the communities I grew up in. Outside of work I’m an avid painter, enjoy swimming at our many beautiful beaches, and am loved by my two cats.

Ethos of My Practice

Gender Neutral and Trans Educated
People of all genders can get pregnant and start a family together. I use gender neutral language to discuss parenthood, gestation, birth, lactation, etc. until we’ve discussed your preferred terms. I am also educated in the unique needs and experiences of those in HRT affected bodies during pregnancy and chest feeding. It’s my honor to serve the entire LGBTQ+ spectrum.

Bodily Autonomy
My work is trauma informed, with a focus on bodily autonomy. Between the new life inside you, bodily changes, and medical needs, pregnancy can feel like your body isn’t yours anymore. As much as possible, I want to help you feel in control and connected to your body.

Trauma Informed
Consent is a keystone of my practice. As your birth doula and advocate, your educated and informed consent is my priority. I want you to feel safe and knowledgeable every step of the way, not only in our interactions but also in interactions with medical professionals. I strive to create a comfortable space for survivors of all traumas or adverse life events, and want to ensure you feel safe every step of the way.

Birth as Ritual

Birth as not just a medical process; it can also be a celebration of creation, a physical feat of strength, rite of passage into parenthood, the welcoming of a new loved one. It is an event that brings the entire family, the entire community, together. I seek to honor the emotional and even spiritual aspects of these moments, making it a fulfilling and meaningful experience.
